Terms & Conditions

By registering for The Yuva Yodha Tech Hackathon ("Competition"), you ("Participant") agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Schneider Electric Private Limited ("Sponsor")  and YouNoodle (“Administrator”), which are final and binding in all respects.

 

1. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Ownership: You retain full ownership of all code, software, prototypes, and content created and submitted by you during the Hackathon ("Submission").

  • License to Sponsor: By entering, you grant the Sponsor and its affiliates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, display, and test your Submission solely for: (a) evaluating performance; (b) promoting the Competition; and (c) recruitment assessment.

  • Warranty: You represent that your Submission is your own original work and does not infringe third-party rights. You agree not to submit code containing unauthorized AI-generated content or plagiarized material.

2. Prizes

  • Cash Awards: Merit-based cash prizes will be awarded to top-performing Participants, with a total prize pool of ₹65,00,000.

  • Office Invitation: The Top 10 finalists will be invited to present their solutions in-person at the Schneider Electric office in Bengaluru.

  • Recognition: Winners and runners-up may also receive certificates of achievement.

  • Exposure: Winners will have the opportunity with SE Ventures.

 

3. Taxes
Payments to potential winners are subject to the express requirement that they submit to the Sponsor all documentation requested to permit compliance with all applicable national, state, and local tax reporting and withholding requirements.

  • Net of Taxes: All prizes will be net of any taxes the Sponsor is required by law to withhold.

  • Participant Responsibility: All taxes imposed on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners.

  • Documentation: To receive a prize, potential winners must submit requested tax documentation (e.g., PAN Card).

  • Forfeiture: Failure to provide such documentation may result in the prize being forfeited.

 

4. No Employment Guarantee

  • Participation in the Competition, achieving a high rank, or being shortlisted for the finale does not constitute an offer or contract of employment or internship with the Sponsor. You acknowledge that you have submitted your Submission voluntarily.

5. Publicity Release

  • By accepting a prize, you agree to allow the Sponsor to use your name, likeness, and Submission for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.


6. Indemnity & Limitation of Liability

  • You agree to indemnify the Sponsor and Administrator against any claims or damages arising from your breach of these Official Rules or infringement of third-party rights.

  • The Sponsor is not responsible for technical malfunctions, lost data, or any damage to property relating to participation.

7. Code of Conduct & Disqualification

  • The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Participant who cheats, tampers with the process, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner.

  • Privacy Note: Resumes should be uploaded in a PDF format in the registration form to allow for internal verification.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Consent: By entering, you consent to the Sponsor collecting your registration details directly via the RSVP registration platform in accordance with Schneider Electric Privacy Policy.

  • Data Processing: You consent to the processing of your personal information (including name, email, and resume) by the Sponsor and Administrator.

  • Purpose: Data will be used for administering the Competition, verifying eligibility, technical proctoring, and recruitment.

  • Data Rights: You have the right to request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting the Administrator at support@younoodle.com

9. Right to Cancel or Modify

  • The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend the Competition if technical failures, fraud, or other causes beyond its control corrupt the integrity of the event.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.
